Students in the Goshen College International Student Club (ISC) celebrated the food and culture of their home countries with a dinner and a show during the annual ISC Coffeehouse on Saturday, March 23., 2019.
The Goshen College Theater Department presented the spring musical Bright Star in the Umble Center March 15-24. Bright Star is an uplifting musical journey featuring the Grammy-nominated Americana score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, set in the 1920s and 1940s Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The 21st annual Goshen College Student Academic Symposium took place Friday, March 15, in the college’s Harold and Wilma Good Library. The presentations consisted of 23 Goshen College students and three faculty members presenting original research.
March 14 (3/14) is Pi Day, so the Harold & Wilma Good Library staff celebrated with a pie competition.
Teresa Pankratz, a book and paper artist from Chicago, is the 2019 Eric Yake Kenagy Visiting Artist.
Goshen College hosted a two-day (March 5-6, 2019) conference examining the future of the college’s transformative Study-Service Term (SST) program. Participants examined the past 50 years of SST looked ahead to its future through panels, workshops, lectures and more.
The Goshen College Chamber Choir and Orchestra spent their spring break touring and performing in churches in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona from Feb. 23 through March 1, 2019, and performed a home concert on Sunday, March 3 in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
