Music Together®, the national early childhood music and movement program developed in Princeton, N.J., is offering a three-day teacher training workshop at the Goshen College Music Center from Feb. 28 to March 2, 2014. The cost of the three-day workshop is $475.
Spring collaborations between the Music Center and Fort Wayne Philharmonic include Fort Wayne’s FREIMANN musicians presenting chamber music this Sunday, Jan. 26, at 4 p.m. in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall, and the Philharmonic’s Performing Arts Series concert in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on Friday, April 11.
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) will hold auditions Aug. 19-20 for youth who wish to sing in the organization’s children’s choirs. CSA offers two community choirs for young children: Rejoice, directed by Kristin Kauffman, for students in grades 3-5, and Shout for Joy, directed by Sandy Hill, for students in grades 6-8.
Since the public dedication in October 2002, the award-winning $24-million Goshen College Music Center has been humming with activity with regular concerts by world-class musicians, performances by Goshen College instrumental and vocal groups, as well as recitals from students enrolled in Community School of the Arts programs. But one piece of the ensemble, if you will, has been missing –– until now.
