As a 17-year-old, Vern Swaback became an apprentice of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, spending 22 years living and working at Wright's Taliesin home and office -- "a model of community where life and work were one." The greatest lesson he learned there from Wright was that "everything is artfully related and integrated."
Jose White String Quartet arrives in U.S. just in time for Jan. 22 Goshen College concert
One of Latin America's leading quartets will be playing at Goshen College on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Sauder Concert Hall as part of the 2003-2004 Performing Arts Series, though the concert was nearly replaced with a backup group due to security clearance problems experienced by two members of the quartet.

Goshen College will honor the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. by holding its 11th annual all-school Study Day, emphasizing the values and ideals that characterized King's work. On Monday, Jan. 19, the college welcomes Rev. Dr. C.T. Vivian, a distinguished veteran of the civil rights movement and close associate of Martin Luther King Jr.
