With deep sadness, we share the news of the death of Goshen College student, Ezra Kipruto Kogei, a sophomore nursing major from Eldoret, Kenya and member of the men’s cross country team. He was involved in a tragic car accident early in the morning on Monday, October 16, 2022, and was treated at South Bend Memorial Hospital. The injuries Kogei sustained proved so severe that he was unable to survive them and died on Saturday, October 22.
Goshen College unveiled its new mascot, Dash, a black squirrel, during the Homecoming Weekend convocation on Friday. As the college’s new number one fan, Dash will be regularly present at athletic and community events.
Five outstanding alumni have been chosen for the 2022 alumni awards for their commitment to living out Goshen College’s motto, “Culture for Service” and who exemplify the core values of the college.
Meet Rob Brenneman, professor of criminal justice and sociology. He is in his third year as director of the Criminal Justice and Restorative Justice (CJRJ) major at Goshen College.
Washington Monthly magazine recently ranked Goshen College the top bachelor’s college in Indiana for the sixth year in a row and 11th nationally in their 2022 annual college rankings.
Any high school senior who submits their admissions application to Goshen College during College Application week, Sept. 26-30, will be automatically entered into a raffle to win a $500 scholarship to attend Goshen College in the Fall of 2023.
GC is ranked 8th among “Best Regional Colleges in the Midwest” and fifth among “Best Value Schools.”
Beginning in Fall 2023, Goshen College will offer a highly interactive, online Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program, conducted in partnership with Bluffton University.
High School students have several upcoming opportunities to visit the Goshen College campus during fall open houses. Students can tour campus, talk with faculty, learn about financial aid and scholarships and explore what it means to study at Goshen College.
