With so much international strife, national economic worries and individual challenges, everyone needs a bit of silence and inward spiritual reflection in their lives to renew hope. Goshen College again offers an online spiritual resource to help believers make time and space in their hearts and minds to reflect on the Christian season of Lent.
In his first beginning-of-the-semester message as interim president, John Yordy called the Goshen College campus to acknowledge what it does well and what can be done more intentionally in recommitting to a culture of hospitality when he spoke on Jan. 21 during convocation.

Trumpet performer Martin Hodel with Kent McWilliams at the piano will inaugurate the Goshen College Chamber Music Series in Rieth Recital Hall on Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. A reception in the Music Center lobby will follow the concert.
When genetic testing completed in 1998 suggested that Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States, bore children with Sally Hemings, one of his slaves, it did not shock Julia Jefferson and Shay Banks- Young who have always believed their great-great-grandfathers were sons of Jefferson and Hemings.
In winning the 2005 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest with her speech about community nutrition, Elizabeth Miller honored the request of friends she made in Kenya last summer.
