A search committee will be established in the fall to conduct a national search for the next athletic director at Goshen College, with a goal of a July 1, 2021 start date.

"Both Erica and Rustin have a strong commitment to the success and well-being of our student-athletes, in the classroom, in their sports, in the Goshen College community, and with respect to their health and safety," said Dr. Gilberto Perez Jr., vice president for student life. "Their uncompromising integrity and commitment to academics and play, and strong passion for integrating athletics with the entirety of our campus community will create a positive environment for our student-athletes."

Albertin has been the head athletic trainer at Goshen College since 2016 and has served in the associate athletic director role since 2018. In addition to experience at the collegiate level, Albertin has served as an athletic trainer for the U.S. Soccer Federation at U-18 and U-20 national team camps and assisted with the U.S. Women's National Team in 2014.

Nyce, a 2002 graduate of Goshen College and former Maple Leaf track and cross country runner, has been the head men's and women's cross country coach since 2015. In 2016 he was also named head men's and women's track and field coach. Nyce's cross country and track teams have combined to post national-qualifying times in 47 events, claiming eight All-American honors. His programs have produced more than 40 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Nyce has served on the interim athletic leadership team twice, in 2018 and 2020. Currently, he serves on the Sexual Misconduct Response Team, Bias Matters Response Team, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force at the college.
