The fifth annual Goshen College Business Innovators Luncheon will be held Friday, Nov. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the College-Church Koinonia Room.

The guest speaker for this year is Guarav Khandelwal, a 2001 Goshen College graduate and founder and CEO of ChaiOne, a software and services company that helps companies in the oil and gas, utilities and logistics industries identify key challenges and solve them with innovative mobile and emerging tech solutions.

At Goshen College, Khandelwal studied computer science and business information systems. Beginning his career in technology, Khandelwal founded ChaiOne in 2008 on a vision to bring disruptive digital solutions to the industrial enterprise. With market demand for the company’s services exploding in the past decade, ChaiOne has experienced rapid growth — receiving the Fast 100 and Fast Tech 50 awards from the Houston Business Journal and in the top 500 in the Inc. 500. Apart from his role at ChaiOne, Gaurav is also a key contributor to Houston’s innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial community. In 2012, he founded START, the city’s first co-working space for startups. Since START’s inception, it has hosted more than 50 Demo Days with more than 100 startups — providing a unique platform for local area entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to creatives, investors and technologists.

Among his accolades, he was featured in the City of Houston #citywithnolimits campaign as Houston’s tech success story. He was also invited by Mayor Sylvester Turner on a trade delegation to Israel as part of an effort to develop Houston’s tech district. Gaurav is a board member with Houston Exponential, leading Houston’s efforts to establish itself as a tech hub.

Tickets for the luncheon are $12 and can be purchased online at goshen.edu/register/business-innovators-luncheon.
