Each year, Merry Lea sponsors a series of class sessions for homeschooled students covering a range of natural history and environmental topics. Sessions are planned so that students can attend in successive years, building on previous experiences. Additionally, any of our field trips are available as a homeschool activity as well. Contact us for more information.
During homeschool series sessions, students spend a significant portion of time outdoors to take advantage of Merry Lea’s wonderfully diverse landscapes. Students are grouped for trail explorations to provide age appropriate instruction. Sessions are open to students in grades 1 through 12. Students must be at least 6 years of age to participate.
Class Time: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Cost: $7.50 per student for each session OR $25.00 maximum per family per session
Lunch: Bring along a sack lunch and a water bottle. Students may be carrying lunches on the trail.
Clothing: Dress for the forecasted weather conditions. We recommend old clothes and closed-toe shoes.
Registration: Registration for the series opens July 1st
