Did you know Merry Lea has a diversified working farm? The answer is yes, and we refer to it as Merry Lea Sustainable Farm. The best way to learn about our farm is to come visit us in person! You can also follow farm activity on Facebook. We are open twelve months a year and open to visitors. Advanced notice is appreciated, if you would like a short tour or time to speak with farm staff. Contact farm manage and interim agroecology director Jon Zirkle (firstname.lastname@example.org) or assistant farm manager Kate Friesen (email@example.com) if you want to plan a visit or have questions about our farm.
**We are now seeking applications for two summer internships offered at the farm: the Agroecology Intern who works closely with the farm crew beginning as early as April 25 (ending August 15 or later), and the Woody Perennial Polyculture Management & Research Intern who works in our WPP field doing labor and field research. Contact Jon Zirkle to request applications and official job descriptions. Applications are due by Feb. 29th.
