Each year, Merry Lea sponsors a series of class sessions for homeschooled students covering a range of natural history and environmental topics. Sessions are planned so that students can attend in successive years, building on previous experiences. Additionally, any of our standard field trips are available as a homeschool co-op program as well. Contact us for more information.
During homeschool series sessions, students spend a significant portion of time outdoors to take advantage of Merry Lea’s wonderfully diverse landscapes. Students are grouped by age for trail explorations to provide age appropriate instruction.
Class time: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Ages: Sessions are open to students in grades 1 through 12. Students must be at least 6 years of age to participate.
Cost: $7.50 per student for each session OR $25.00 maximum per family per session
Lunch: Lunch is not provided by Merry Lea so please bring along a sack lunch and a water bottle.
Clothing: Dress for the forecasted weather conditions. We recommend old clothes and closed-toe shoes.
Registration: Registration for the series opens July 1st of each year. To register, fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Please register at least one week in advance. We strongly recommend advanced registration, as the sessions fill quickly.
Payment: We prefer payment at the time of registration. If that is not possible, please contact us to set up alternative arrangements.
