The farm manager, under the direction of the director of agroecology, will oversee all aspects of operating the Merry Lea Sustainable Farm. The farm manager will collaborate with other staff, faculty, students, and volunteers to develop the farm as a setting for teaching and learning about sustainable food systems and conservation. The farm includes vegetable plots, fruit and nut orchards, an animal barn and pastures, a passive solar greenhouse, and a small hoop house.
The search for an executive director is closed at present. Dr. David Ostergren is serving as the interim executive director for the remainder of 2019. We anticipate hiring a new executive director by the summer of 2020. For further information as to when the search process may reopen, contact Marsha McNagny, chair of the Merry Lea Board.
