Campus Master Plan
The Campus Master Plan is a conceptual footprint of the college of the future in terms of its physical location, major buildings and grounds. The Campus Master Plan presented on this website is the final plan that was developed between December 2005 and May 2007, and approved by the Goshen College Board of Directors on May 18, 2007. Under the leadership of the campus Space Planning Committee and using the services of professional campus planners/architects The Collaborative, Inc. (Toledo, OH) this plan evolved into this final version.
The 15-month process of generating the plan included multiple meetings of the professional campus master planners with Space Planning Committee as well as with a larger 30-person Oversight Committee composed of a broad-based cross-section of the campus community and including representation from students, retired faculy and the local city/community. In addition there were Town Hall meetings held both early in the process and in March 2007 to provide opportunities for the entire campus to engage and participate in the planning process. (click here for a summary of the question and answer times at each Town Hall meeting).
This graphical form of the Campus Master Plan is the result of this overall process.
