I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing at Goshen College to be a family nurse practitioner in 2019! I will begin my journey as a nurse practitioner at an Urgent Care this fall.
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Wartburg College in Biology and Mathematics in 2011. From there, I went on to Drexel University for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have enjoyed working as a nurse for many years and am now exploring what it is like to teach new nurses! My specialties are cardiac med/surg and PCU, as well as endoscopy.
Outside of teaching and practicing, I enjoy traveling, reading, sports, music, and spending time with my family and friends!
My time at Goshen College has allowed me to participate ACUE effective teaching practices program, the Faculty/Staff book club, and a participant in Mobile Leafs, a program designed to help us learn about technology available to us as teachers. I advise undergraduate nursing students as well as am a faculty volunteer for the flu shot clinic and skills day.
In the community I volunteer for the St. Joseph County Library by delivering books to seniors who are home bound in our community. I also spent time volunteering at the Urban Adventure Games and Cinco de Miles race events.
I like to stay involved in my community by participating in local volleyball leagues, library programs, as well as other events hosted by various organizations.
