Academic Success Center Administrative Assistant

Goshen College invites applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant for the Academic Services team with primary support for the Academic Success Center to work a flexible schedule within a Monday through Friday work week. Responsibilities include greeting constituents at the ASC and answering questions about academic services on campus, scheduling exam times and proctoring tests, managing emails and outreach to students and faculty, obtaining supplies for the office, updating webpages and ordering print pieces, assisting with projects for the academic services team (including Orientation, Transition and Retention, and Advising & Registrar) and offering support specifically to the director and assistant director of the ASC. This position helps to support a strong team dynamic; working together to meet goals and provide services to students and faculty.

This is a 10-month (42-week) position at 18-20 hours per week, pays $12.50-$13.50 per hour and is eligible for many benefits.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people, including faculty, students, and administrators.
  • Computer experience with Word, Excel, and Google documents


  • Understanding of higher education and the academic setting
  • Experience working with students
  • Familiarity with the experiences of first-generation, diverse, and other high-risk populations
  • Conversational fluency in Spanish


  • Bachelor’s degree
