Director of Financial Aid

Goshen College seeks applicants for a full-time Director of Financial Aid with a target start date of July 1, 2020. Responsibilities include managing all components of the student financial aid function and providing leadership for a professional and support staff of three people.  The Director provides counsel to students and parents concerning the various governmental and institutional requirements, rules and policies related to financial assistance.  The Director prepares reports, establishes and updates policies and procedures, and monitors compliance with all state and federal regulations. Candidates must readily grasp the intricacies of accounting procedures and financial budgeting procedures.

The ideal candidate has the ability to lead and motivate others, strong interpersonal skills, experience with data analysis, and experience in working successfully with software and technical systems associated with financial aid management (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerFaids, Jenzabar, Salesforce, and state and federal government websites).


Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Preferably in business or higher education. 5-7 years of relevant experience.
