Sustainability and Environmental Education Recruiter

Goshen College seeks a Sustainability and Environmental Education Recruiter. 

This recruiter position is responsible for carrying out key portions of recruiting traditional undergraduate first year and/or transfer students for the sustainability majors at Goshen College. The recruiter will assist in active roles in undergraduate programming and activities to effectively deliver undergraduate courses. The recruiter is responsible for knowing and implementing best practices in recruitment and admissions in order to enroll new students at Goshen College. Must be driven by the desire to help others improve their lives through the pursuit of higher education. The successful applicant will also work approximately 25% of the time in one other area of Merry Lea depending on the skills which may include one or more areas: environmental education, public programs, sustainable farm education, or more broadly communicating with the general public. The home office for this position is at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred:

  • Two years of prior experience in higher education, preferably in the area of enrollment
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Special Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Travel required related to student recruitment events, professional meetings and relevant College business. Travel could include overnight and/or extended stay.
  • Evening/night/weekend work required in representing the College at recruitment events. Also required in order to contact students during time frames that are more suitable to their schedules.
