Administrative Faculty Position Announcement
Goshen College seeks a part-time (.58 FTE) Reference and Instruction Librarian to begin in July/August. Will cover the reference desk 10 hours per week, including 1 evening per week; provide classroom instruction as needed; and serve as professional liaison to assigned academic departments. In addition, the Reference and Instruction Librarian will participate in the college’s first-year class.
Master’s degree in Library Science required. Experience in training or teaching adults as well as some library experience preferred. Hands-on understanding of data communications, standard desktop PC applications, and library automation tools required. The position also requires strong public service and communication skills, technical competence, basic budgeting skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize a demanding workload. Must be committed to the mission of the college.
