Dear campus community:
For the next few weeks of modified campus life, I want all members of the campus community — students and employees — to know that the Title IX Office will continue providing resources to anyone participating in on-campus and digital campus activities. We recognize that people may experience harm through online interactions as well as in modified living and working situations. Please know that we are here to help.
Continue using Title IX online reporting form and email to report gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and/or assault to Title IX Deputy Coordinator Kendra Yoder. You can also call 574-535-7113 to reach Kendra Yoder directly during work hours.
While our prevention and education efforts will be temporarily suspended, we have online options for reporting, and can modify accommodations, support, and response to your unique circumstances. Our investigations will continue, although we will utilize online tools in meeting with reporting and responding parties and witnesses.
Confidential resources are available for advice about options. As responsible employees, any GC employee will help you report a violation or request assistance from Kendra Yoder through our online resources. Residence life staff are available to assist residential students with support and access to resources as well.
If you have an emergency, please call 911 or Campus Safety at 574-535-7599. Please remember that you should contact the Goshen Hospital emergency room if you experience a physical assault and all crimes may be reported to the Goshen Police Department.
Don’t hesitate to call or email with questions or concerns. Remember to offer respect, compassion, and support to others. Our community will look and feel different for the next few weeks, but our commitment to provide a safe and supportive living and learning environment remains the same!
Beth Martin Birky
Title IX Coordinator
