I was born in Vermont and landed in Goshen at the age of five when my father began teaching at Goshen College. I graduated from Goshen College and then went to the University of Iowa to complete my graduate degree. I met my husband in Iowa, so this Hoosier married a Hawkeye. Is that a match made in heaven or what? My husband says, “Trish’s blood runs purple,” and I suppose that it’s true because I am a big fan of Goshen College sports. Sitting (or standing) in the bleachers during a Goshen College sporting event is a thrilling experience because GC has the most creative student fans I have ever encountered. This is a great place to be a student athlete since Goshen is part of the extremely competitive Crossroads League (formerly the Mid-Central College Conference).
Hiking or canoeing with my family. Watching our son play soccer or attending my daughter’s orchestra concerts in the Sauder Concert Hall. I enjoy reading a great work of fiction while working out on an elliptical machine at the Goshen College fitness center.
