Campfires, long hikes, acapella music, bike rides, ice-cream, game-nights and good friends are just a few things that I love about life.  I grew up in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and graduated from Goshen College with a music education major focusing on vocal performance. During my time at Goshen, I participated in many theater and music ensembles including the Women’s World Music Choir, the Parables Worship Ensemble, a student-led opera, and more. I also worked in Campus Ministries and enjoyed various on-campus events and activities, such as talent shows and intramural sports.

My Study-Service Term (SST) was spent in Matagalpa, Nicaragua, where I lived in a rural mountain community. Through this experience, my world-view was greatly enriched and I discovered a passion for world language and culture. Studying Spanish and developing real cross-cultural relationships was incredibly enlivening for me and I left with a desire for more! After graduation I moved to Cusco, Peru, where I lived for two and half years teaching music and English and working in a local church.

Now back at Goshen College, I am excited to provide guidance as you think about your past, present and future. You are in an exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) stage of life and I look forward to knowing you and helping you think through the next step in forming your life journey.
