Important Information about your Tuition Bill
Goshen College no longer mails paper copies of term tuition bills. An announcement will be made through email when bills are ready, and it is the student’s responsibility to go online to MyGC (my.goshen.edu) and click on “My Bill” to retrieve their bill. Accounts must be paid in full or have a payment plan in place to cover the entire cost of the term by the due date. Please feel free to contact the Accounting Office with any questions you have on your charges.
Parent Access to Student Information
A student can grant permission to parents or other individuals to view the student’s financial and/or academic information via MyGC.
Student Insurance Coverage for International and Student Athletes
Goshen College is no longer implementing a hard waiver proof of insurance program. It will be the student’s responsibility to be insured before they arrive on campus.
International students with Visa types 01, 03 and 08, both full-time and part-time, are required to have student health insurance. The online international student insurance option can be found at www.internationalstudentinsurance.com/. International students will need to purchase the “select” plan. Without proof of insurance, international students will not be able to register for subsequent semesters.
Student athletes will need to provide a current policy insurance card to the Athletic Office upon arrival to campus. Without proof of insurance, athletes will not be able to participate in practices and receive support services from Athletic Training.
Full-time and Part-time Tuition Charges
Please note the description of the tuition charge on your bill. Some students with a full-time financial aid package have been charged the full-time tuition rate. Actual hours registered appears in the upper right corner of your bill.
Monthly Payment Plans
Contracts may be arranged with our outside agency Nelnet for a low-cost monthly payment program to extend tuition payments throughout the year. The cost of each semester plan is $25. There are no interest charges. For additional information, please contact the Student Accounts Manager at 574.535.7511, firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the online payments page. Payment plans must be set up a week before the payment due date to be considered timely and avoid the $75 late payment fee.
Online payment information can be found here. ACH payments can be made online with no additional charge. Credit card payments can also be made online, but are subject to a 2.5% convenience fee. Credit cards accepted are VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Payment Due Date
Payments must be received at our office, not postmarked, no later than the due date to guarantee your seat in class and avoid a $75 late payment fee. Your payment confirms your course registration. The student is responsible to provide updated account information to any person(s) making payments on the student’s account. Note: in order to ensure adequate time for financial aid processing before the payment due date, all financial aid documents needed must to be received at least a week in advance of the due date.
Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA)
Students must grant the College permission to discuss financial or academic information with anyone else. Students may do this by logging in to MyGC and clicking on the Parent Access link to add individuals as needed. Parents or others added in this way will receive a copy of the monthly balance statement email.
Budgetary Assistance Agreement Form (BAAF)
Students who are receiving federal student aid may complete the BAAF form if they would like the College to retain excess funds on their account until the student requests a refund. This form can be found at www.goshen.edu/financialaid. Please return the completed BAAF form with the student’s signature to the Financial Aid Office.
Authorization Agreement for Direct Deposit
In an effort to better serve our students, we provide student payroll direct deposits. Each student who wants to work on campus is required to complete employment paperwork, including an Authorization Agreement form to get paid by direct deposit.
