Goshen, Indiana.

Major: history, broadcasting minor

Why did you choose Goshen?

I chose Goshen College because it was local, I didn’t want to be too far from home because I wanted to stay involved in my church, and I like my job too much. Another reason why I chose GC was that the cross country team is very good.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose to be a history major because I was really good at it in high school. History is also something I am obsessed with. I often introduce myself to my friends by saying “Did you know that (historical event) happened today?”

What career are you interested in pursuing?

I’m not too sure what I’ll be pursuing as a career, although my two main interests would be either a job in city government or working at a museum. If I were to work in the city government, I would probably be an archivist. If I were working in a museum, I would probably be a researcher or a tour guide for the said museum.

What is a valuable experience that you have had at Goshen?

A valuable experience that I had at Goshen was the Environmental Disaster and Response class in Marianna, Florida. I got to do physical labor, spend three weeks in Florida and work with students from vastly different backgrounds than mine. Despite working with people from different walks of life, I became very good friends with many of them.
