Jacob Landis-Eigsti, a 2012 communication and theater graduate, came to Goshen College to study filmmaking. While a student, he was also an actor, a writer and a peacemaker.
I loved the kindness and energy of the people at Goshen. They are open, honest and compassionate about each other. As a filmmaker, I was excited to have the opportunity to learn from classes and self-directed projects. Goshen helped me build connections and launch my own video production company.
I started my company, Jacob LE Video Production (https://jacoblevideoproduction.com), at Goshen College during my junior year. I received a grant from Goshen College and was provided with many classes, connections, and internships that were vital to my success. Running your own video business has its challenges, and I could not have done it without this support and knowledge I received from Goshen College. I took my business from Goshen, to Los Angeles, and now back to my hometown in Denver. I’ve had exciting opportunities to do videos for local charities, my home church, and bigger clients like Coldwell Banker Real Estate and AARP. Through the Goshen Film program, I not only gained access to tools essential for my career success, but also formed vital friendships and relationships that I still have today.
