Danielle Kerschakl, from Elmwood Park, Illinois, was involved with American Sign Language Club, the campus news program and Goshen College’s award-winning radio station, 91.1 The Globe (WGCS).
Why did you choose Goshen College?
I chose to go to Goshen College because of their great communications program. After I came on a visit and met my professors, they sealed the deal for me.
What has kept you at Goshen College?
My majors have definitely kept me around: the campus radio station, 91.1 The Globe, and the American Sign Language program. Also the great friends you make along the way, as well as the close interactions you get with professors that you can’t get anywhere else.
What do you hope to do with your degree?
Well, ASL and broadcasting (specifically radio) don’t go hand in hand. After school I would like to either become an on-air personality for a radio station, become an interpreter, or both.
