2016 Indiana Music Teachers Association Conference


Goshen College is very pleased to host the 2016 Indiana Music Teachers Association annual conference, to be held Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the Goshen College Music Center. Registration is now open! We received an excellent and varied set of proposals from which to select this year’s conference program. See the schedule linked below. Featured Presenters

Conference Artist:  Christopher Taylor will provide a Friday evening recital, as well as a Saturday morning Master Class.  This dynamic artist is sure to leave us breathless!

IMTA 2016 Commissioned Composer:  Jorge Muniz will premier an exciting new piano trio, designed as an homage to Enrique Granados in the 100th anniversary of his death.

Featured Speaker: Karen Zorn, president of Longy School of Music, will give the keynote address and a featured session on the future of independent music teaching.

Goshen College and IMTA have identified the following hotels for IMTA conference attendees. Registrants can reserve a room at either hotel for a discounted rate by mentioning that they are attending the IMTA conference at Goshen College.

Registration for the full conference is $80 for IMTA members ($95 for non-members) and includes the Friday banquet and Saturday luncheon. College and graduate students fee for the full conference is $30, including both meals. Part-time options are available on the registration page.
