(1/7/2014) Reuben Budiardja earned his undergraduate degrees, a B.A. in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Goshen College in 2002. He attended The University of Tennessee for graduate school and received his Ph.D in 2010 in Computational Astrophysics. As part as his dissertation he co-developed an astrophysics simulation system called GenASiS.

Prior to joining the National Institute for Computational Scienes at the University of Tennessee in 2012, Reuben had his post-doc appointment with the theoretical astrophysics group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he continued developing GenASiS on Jaguar supercomputer. His research interest includes core-collapse supernovae modelling, neutron star / black hole merger, high-performance code design, and task-based and multi-level parallelisms.
