Overview

The history and social research major is designed to provide students with library, statistical and field-research skills especially useful for careers in law, business, and public administration.

About the coursework

A variety of history courses provides a broad perspective rather than merely a technical orientation. In addition to history courses, the student’s faculty adviser will encourage taking elective courses in economics, sociology, and political science.
