La Serva Padrona – Aaron Kaufman, Feb. 2012

La serva padrona (The Servant Turned Mistress) is an opera buffa by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. A young servant, Serpina played by Brooke Hostetter  -jr is in love with her master, Uberto played by Aaron Kaufman-sr. She taunts and defies him until he sees that he loves her as well. Uberto’s  butler, Vespone played by Phil Weaver-Stoesz-sr is caught in the middle of the two unsuspecting lovers and helps Serpina win Uberto. Directed by Patrick Ressler.
