The need to create order

In a child's development, little is more important for their future success than the ability to focus on tasks.  In these examples we see difficult work done for its own sake and the pure joy of the process and product.  It does not need to be pictorial or useful.

The child enjoys the activity and the product is appropriately rewarding.  Humans have a need to create order.  Art is an appropriate venue in which to nurture it.
