Youth Programs

  • Teen Count - An alternative to the juvenile court system that collaborates efforts between Family Services, Juvenile Court, Elkhart County Juvenile Prosecutor and the Elkhart County Juvenile Probation Department and seeks to get young people to take responsibility for their actions using a restorative justice philosophy.

  • Truancy Intervention - Early intervention and prevention services to help at-risk children and their families working with the schools in Elkhart County to improve stability in the child's school attendance.

  • Mentoring Children of Prisoners - Provides children and youth of incarcerated parents with mentors to provide them with safe and trusting relationships; healthy messages about life and social behavior; and appropriate guidance from a positive adult role model. This program is facilitated by Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Elkhart County.

  • Child Care Vouchers - Assists parents who are trying to achieve independence from public assistance with finding and affording quality child care.
