About this exhibit
This is an exhibit of my recent experimentation with growing and
photographing flowers. Unlike my early, dark, black and white art, these
pieces, like my fractals, are an explosion of color. There is something
about flower gardening that doubly fulfills my need to create, since I am
both growing and photographing them. They are also a more accessible form
of art for many people since most people can relate to flowers while the
same is not true of my fractal artwork.
In addition, as I assemble this exhibit in the cold desolation of northern
Indiana in February, it is good for my inner being to remember the beautiful
flowers of the last, warm summer as I slowly begin to anticipate the coming
of the next one.
