Shoot 1/2 of a roll on a scene of average reflectance (i.e., lights and darks pretty well equally distributed across landscape with sun to back, similar to slide shown in class.) See pp. 94-95.

NOTE: Concentrate on richly varied shapes, shadows, textures, etc.

High Contrast: Human Figure

Shoot 1/2 of the roll of a high contrast subject (i.e., a dark subject against a very light background). See pp. 96-97.

Substitute Reading: Photojournalistic approach Cover an event or human interest story

Take the roll using substitute readings (e.g., palm of hand, 18% gray card, and/or any object of similar reflectance).
See p. 102

2 Contact print
3 prints* (1- overall reading, 1- high contrast and 1- substitute reading).

Label all prints on back in pencil and provide computer printed labels for each print
