- Course Objectives:

- Students will gain a basic knowledge of the character of
Hebrew prophecy, its themes, content, and the people who held
the prophetic office.
- Students will develop study and research skills to assist
them in interpreting the prophetic literature.
- Students will balance good exegesis, that is, the discovery
of the meaning of the text, with discussion of the significance
of the text, that is, the application of the message to his or
her own life.
- Students will become more sensitive and perceptive readers
of scripture.

- 90-100% A is reserved for work that is original, insightful
and indicates a mastery of the material.
- 75-89% B signifies that the work is competent and demonstrates
an adequate grasp of the concepts of the course.
- 60-74% C signifies satisfactory work that is either wanting
in presentation, understanding or accuracy.
- 50-59% D indicates that all work has been submitted to satisfy
the course requirements but the quality is not satisfactory.
