Zimbra for Macs

Zimbra on a Mac is the same as Zimbra on a PC since they are both accessed through a web browser.  See the Zimbra Help pages or Frequently Asked Questions for any questions you may have.

Some users are using Mac Mail and iCal for their email and calendaring systems.  Mac Mail should continue to function without issue, however, if after the switch is made you are expiriencing issues with your folders in Mac Mail, visit this site for a fix for that problem.  If that does not resolve the issue, contact ITS.

If you wish to continue using iCal, you will have to set it up to sync with Zimbra Calendar.

Syncing iCal with Zimbra

1. Open up iCal.
2. Click on the iCal menu (upper left) and select Preferences.
3. click on the Account section.
4. Click the + button.
5. Input your Goshen College email username and password.
6. Drop down the Server Options section. In the Account URL, enter https://mail.goshen.edu
, and click 'Add'
7. Exit the preferences section upon successful account addition.
8. You will now see your calendars from Zimbra displayed in iCal. Use
this in conjunction with your Zimbra web-based calendar for the best
user experience.
