Coffeehouse Policies

Sound Booth

No more than two people (sound techs) are allowed in the sound booth at each performance.

Performer Responsibilities

  1. The payment for a Coffee House is $50 per night, unless sponsored by a student organization or club. The performer will be paid and may distribute it the way they see fit.
  2. CAC is in charge of set up and clean up.  The main performer must be present at the beginning of set up (usually Friday at 4 p.m.) in  NC19 to help establish the placement of the stage.  Any other special requests for arrangements should be given to them prior to Friday afternoon.
  3. Performers must set up time to meet with sound tech and Director of Student Activities, 2 weeks prior to performance.
  4. Performers who wish to rehearse the week prior to their performance must reserve NC19 with the Director of Student Activities. A list of possible rehearsal times can be e-mailed to the Director. Don't assume you have the dates and times until the Director confirms with you. A sound tech is available for 2 hours free of charge for rehearsal.  This is the time to let the sound tech know your needs. This is a dress rehearsal for all those involved, not informal practice time. So please be ready to go. If more time is needed please contact Michele at ext. 7544.  The extra time needed for sound must be approved.  Rehearsal times must also be set up with the sound tech.
  5. You are working for and with CAC (this includes the sound tech).  We expect your cooperation and respect in providing entertainment for the students on campus.
  6. Maximum performers in a group will be limited to 15 with only 10 allowed on stage at one time. The sound equipment capabilities limit us to this size of group.
  7. Contact Director of Student Activities to set-up performance date.
I (we) have read and understand the above policies.  I (we) will try to follow them to the best of my (our) ability.  I (we) understand that  Student Activities and CAC have chosen me (us) to perform for an evening activity and will treat them and the audience with respect.  I (we) agree to follow the "Commitment to Community Standards" in all the material that is used in our performance:
