Your group application is complete when your group completes the following steps:

  • A campus reference from a RA, RL, coach, director or job supervisor.
  • Room deposit receipt of $200 per member (non-refundable after units have been assigned; this deposit will then be held as a damage deposit until after the end of school year. If the house’s condition is found to be acceptable after checkout, the damage deposit will be refunded to you.)
  • Group History. Please write a brief history of how your small group was formed.
  • Group Goals

    1. Please write your group’s goals and plan for implementation of these goals. Group goals should reflect:

         o
Goals for decision-making and managing interpersonal conflict within the group

         o
Thoughtful contribution to the campus community (e.g. how will your SGH unit make campus a better place?)

         o
Efforts at developing purpose and identity as it relates to campus life (e.g. supporting each other academic or
co-curricular goals, how will you encourage each others personal growth, etc.)

    2. Each group is responsible for cleaning the house together. Be sure to include your group’s action plan for cleaning (who cleans when and what).

    3. At the bottom of this section, please include the following statement and have each member sign and date to indicate their acceptance of and commitment to these goals and plan for implementation:

“We have reviewed the “Expectations for Small Group Living”,
written our group goals and our plan for implementation together
and agree to accept them as part of our group life.

  • Personal Statement Regarding the “GC Commitment for Community Standards.” – Please review and discuss the Standards. Summarize in writing your group’s response to the Standards in the past and how your group would deal with potential violations next year. This statement should be signed by each group member and dated to indicate their acceptance of and commitment to your group’s statement about the Standards.

In addition, please turn in the individual statements made by those in your group who are not on campus currently (on SST, BCA, transferring from another school, etc) Check with our office (AD14) to see if they have already been submitted.
