How much does SST cost? |

SST in the Dominican Republic and Perú cost the same as a regular
semester on the Goshen College campus. The other SSTs have some additional
costs. |

No, but it is strongly encouraged and considered an essential component
of Goshen's education. Over 60 percent of the student body participates
in SST. Students who do not participate often do so because they have family

How do I sign up for SST? |
| A: |
You sign up through the international education office, located in the
basement of Kulp dormitory. Students may also sign up at the registrars
office in the Administration Building. Openings for SST units are awarded
on a first come, first serve basis. So, the sooner
you
sign
up
for an SST
the
likelier
you are to go to the country in which you have the most interest. Some
SSTs reach capacity, so having an alternative choice is suggested. |

When do most students go on SST? |

Most students go during their sophomore or junior year, but the decision
depends on a range of factors, including class and athletic requirements.
Students must have at least 30 credit hours (equivalent to finishing your
first year of college). |
