Meeting families
After
a full day of orientation,
the students were picked up by family members, or neighboring families
who were also hosting a student, for their first weekend together.
The
last six students to be picked up looked
a bit forlorn. But given Santo Domingo traffic, it is not unusual
for delays in getting where you need to go. Here's an archive
of snapshots as each student was met.
Students
spent the weekend with their families and came together on Monday morning
at ENTRENA for language evaluations in the morning and public
transportation system training in the afternoon.
On Tuesday, the students will begin the normal routine of morning language study and lectures in the afternoons.
