In the colonial city
19
January -- Last Friday we walked the streets of the Colonial City and
imagined what life was like in the early 1500s for Diego Columbus (Christopher's
son) and his wife María de Toledo. We visited the ruins of the
Ozama fort, the first hospital (image at left), the oldest cathedral
in the New World, and the renovated Alcazar Palace (where Diego, María,
and Christopher's brother Bartholemew lived).

Each
Wednesday, the students gather at Casa Goshen, the house where
leaders Cheryl and Brent live, for a meal and time as a group. At right
