Last week in Havana

The host families at William Carey organized a good-bye party at La Casa de la Decima in Havana as one last opportunity to be with the students. At left, Beatriz, who who was also our doctor on more than one occasion, dances with Robin.

We had invited Carlos, our friend (and our [Romeros'] landlord!) to the party. He works in Cuban TV and had taken Dan and a few others to visit TV and radio stations.
We had been celebrating students' birthdays throughout the summer. During our last meal at William Carey, we celebrated the birthday of all the students that did not have a birthday during the SST term!

The group went to Old Havana for a farewell meal. We met at the rooftop of a building that allowed us to have a panoramic view of the Old city and the bay.
