Playa Giron
On
Wednesday June 26, the group took a field trip to Playa Giron,
better known in the United States as the Bay of Pigs. On this location
a failed attempt by a group of Cuban exiles to invade Cuba took place.
It is a very important location since the events that took place there
have been crucial in defining US - Cuba relations for the past 40 years.

Prior
to entering the museum the group had a picnic lunch. John Yordy
and his wife Winnie, who were visiting the Goshen College Cuba
SST on an administrative visit, participated with the group on this excursion.Emily,
