Playa Giron

Museum entranceOn Wednesday June 26, the group took a field trip to Playa Giron, better known in the United States as the Bay of Pigs. On this location a failed attempt by a group of Cuban exiles to invade Cuba took place. It is a very important location since the events that took place there have been crucial in defining US - Cuba relations for the past 40 years. The students visited the museum (pictured at right).
