Rugball started on a rug with some friends of Marcos Stolzfus at his church lock-in six years ago. Due to some rug burns, the game was moved outdoors. Marcos brought to Goshen a couple years ago and some of the guys on his dorm floor played. However, someone's collarbone was broken, so they didn't play again that year. A year ago though there was a lot more interest to play the game and they played almost every weekend. They started off playing at night but then moved the weekly match to 3pm on Sunday afternoons, where it has stayed.
