Committees at Goshen CollegeCommittees are an important part of governance at Goshen College. Membership on committees is crucial and a defined part of the contract for teaching and administrative faculty. All full-time faculty persons are expected to serve on several committees. Committee membership is generally limited to a maximum of three or four years. In addition, many persons serve on task forces or other ad-hoc groups. Committee assignments are made through the Office of the Provost. In making assignments, interests, abilities and responsibilities on campus are all considered.Committees at Goshen College are categorized as: Academic, Administrative Non-curricular, Task Force, or Student Life.
