Summer 2006

GC's Public Relations team doubled in size in 2006 with six full-time student assistants. From left are Jennifer Rupp '06 (Pettisville, Ohio), Alex Miller '05 (Strasbourg, Alsace, France), Megan Blank (Jr., Souderton, Pa.), Jon Glick (Jr., Middleton, Wis.), Katrina Maust '06 (Goshen) and Craig Welscott (Jr., Greenbush, Mich.). Web assistants Jon and Craig - the first to bring a record player to the office, worked on Flash and multimedia applications. Jen helped organize GC's presence at the county fair while Megan wrote news releases and features. Alex is focusing on ads and the student planner while Katrina designed displays, ads and more.

Summer 2005

At the gate:
Doubling the energy and creativity to be found on the second floor of the Administration Building, five summer interns join the Goshen College Public Relations Office to take on significant summer projects – including assistance with Goshen's presence at the 2005 Mennonite Church USA & Canada convention in Charlotte. From left to right are Garrett Gingerich '07 and Chris Kniss '08, web design; Bethany Nussbaum '06, writing and graphic design; Jennifer Rupp 'o6, writing; and Alex Miller '05, graphic design.

Summer 2004

The PR staff extends joyful thanks to each one of these exceptional people; we wish you the best in the coming year, on campus and into the world.

(From top) Thushan Hemachandra ’05 worked in web design, creating a comprehensive new Study-Service Term site. Katrina Maust ’06 became chief photo scanner and juggled multiple design projects – good preparation for her as editor of the Maple Leaf yearbook. Melanie Histand ’06 honed her writing skills and has newspaper clips to add to her portfolio. We miss Ross Bay ’04 who worked until July before moving to Chicago; his excellent graphic design and organizational skills continue to benefit GC– see the 2004-05 GC wall calendar. After working in the PR office during her senior year and the summer, Yolonda Werman ’04 knows the far corners of the vast galaxy that is the GC Web site, and steadily helped provide upgrades.

Landon Yoder ’04 (pictured left) worked part time generating material for the new SST web site – tracking down student journals and writing descriptions of host countries.

Summer 2003

The public relations team warmly thanks summer interns (from left) Nik Stoltzfus (2003 graduate), senior Ross Bay, Tim Nafziger (2003 graduate) and senior Andrias Kosasih who wrangled with words for press releases; digitally designed innumerable posters and brochures, as well as the calendar and student handbook; served with mPress in Atlanta; and waded in the world of Web work by updating summer SST postings, and redesigning department sites. Our thanks and best wishes to all four!
