540.1 Waiver and Release of Liability
Related to Travel in Non-Goshen College Vehicles
The undersigned Student acknowledges and agrees that when travelling to or from educational or extracurricular events (whether or not attendance at such events is required) Goshen College is not responsible for student drivers and does not provide insurance for incidents involving non-Goshen College vehicles.
In consideration of the participation of the undersigned Student in Goshen College academic and extracurricular activities, the Student hereby acknowledges and agrees that such participation is subject to and specifically conditioned upon the undersigned agreeing to be legally bound by the following terms:
The Student hereby releases and discharges Goshen College, together with its successors, assigns, overseers, directors, officers, employees, representatives or agents, of and from any and all claims or liability of any type whatsoever including, but not limited to, property damage, physical injury, or mental anguish which the Student may suffer arising out of, based upon, resulting from, or in any way connected with traveling to or from educational or extracurricular activities in non-Goshen College owned vehicles, including, but not limited to, any claim arising out of, based upon, resulting from, or in any way connected with the negligence, omission or other acts of Goshen College, its successors, assigns, overseers, directors, officers, employees, representatives or agents, or the condition of all or any part of Goshen College premises or personal property. The Student further agrees and covenants not to sue Goshen College, its successors, assigns, overseers, directors, officers, employees, representatives or agents for any claim arising out of, based upon, resulting from, or in any way connected with the undersigned Student traveling to or from educational or extracurricular events in non-Goshen College vehicles.
