- Chalking is restricted to members of the Goshen College community (faculty, staff, and students).

- Use only chalk when writing.
- Whoever writes the message is responsible for removing it after the event has occurred or three days after the message is written, whichever occurs first.
- Messages must be relevant to GC students.
- No obscene or offensive messages may be written. Misuse of chalking will result in restriction of all sidewalk messages
Proposed Chalking Guidelines
- Chalking is restricted to members of the GC community (faculty, staff, and students).
- Only write on sidewalks.
- Use only chalk when writing.
- Sidewalk chalking is for the sole purpose of announcing events relevant to GC students and is intended as a means by which students or organizations can announce those events to the wider campus community.
- Persons responsible for chalking must identify themselves, either individually or as an organization. Those persons are also responsible for the removal of chalk after the announced event has occurred or three days after the message is written, whichever occurs first.
- Misuse of chalking will result in restriction of chalking privileges for those parties responsible.
