220.1 Board Approval for
full-time hires between meetings

  1. Approval from all members of the committee usually involved in the hiring with contact made by phones from the college if a committee member has not responded by the suggested deadline.
  2. Providing the resumes to all board members and also inviting their responses on their own initiative. (At the next board meeting the entire board needs to act on these appointments so should be informed about the candidate.)
  3. The board chair or vice-chair needs to give approval as well, whether or not on the committee involved—especially when the response has been mixed, or when a committee member could not be reached.
