What is Pax?:
Pax is Goshen College's peace and justice club. We're a non-hierarchically
organized group open to everyone. We meet on Mondays at 9:30 p.m. in Newcomer
19. Newcomer is the building south of the church chapel.
Mission Statement:
To promote and to embody justice and peace through non-violent action, reflection,
and lifestyle. (adopted Sept. 1999)
History and Activities:
Pax once was known as Students for Shalom and before that simply as Peace
Society, and has frankly been going since at least the Fifties. Find
out what's going on with PAX. At the beginning of each semester we elect
a steering committee. Elections for Fall 2004 will be conducted on our list
serv. Sign up and participate in choosing the committee.
