Your Student and Dorm Changes in 2003-2004

Exciting changes are in store for student housing in 2003-04. In response to the 2001 Housing Task Force and student focus groups regarding residence life needs and issues, Goshen College has secured a bond that will address the desired upgrades, totaling nearly $7 million. The timeline is fast, over a period of 18 months, and will include restroom expansion, heating and cooling needs, fire safety, lighting and electrical needs, along with general aesthetic improvements. Handicapped accessibility is also a priority that will be addressed.

Here is how the schedule looks:
- Summer 2003-Kulp residence hall
- Summer 2003-Yoder residence hall restroom expansion
- Fall 2003-Kratz residence hall
- Spring 2004-Miller residence hall
- Summer 2004-Yoder resident rooms
- Fall 2004-Coffman residence hall

Kratz-Miller-Yoder Connector

A new "connector" will create more attractive and convenient student gathering space and provide accessibility for the Kratz, Miller and Yoder residence halls. This structure will tie these individual facilities together to create a stronger community environment.
