The Goshen College Music Department's sixth annual Christmas
extravaganza will feature Goshen College ensembles, students and
faculty in a musical celebration of the season.

1 p.m., Afternoon Sabbatical – "Musical Stylings for
the Christmas Season," Sauder Concert Hall, Music
Center
Composers and arrangers from a variety of times and places find the
message and spirit of Christmas to be a rich source of musical
inspiration. Join Associate Professor of Music Beverly Lapp and
friends as they share some of their favorite works to celebrate the
season.

7 p.m., New Horizons Orchestra concert,
Rieth Recital Hall, Music Center
The New Horizons String
Orchestra will perform a recital of string music. Admission is
free.
Now in its third year, New Horizons String Orchestra, part of the
Goshen College Community School of the Arts and directed by Brook
Bennett, is a string ensemble for adults and seniors who are
beginners or are resuming their previous string study.

Goshen College Christmas break begins

4 p.m., Community Hymn Sing – Moravian Hymn Sing and Love
Feast, Rieth Recital Hall, Music Center
Members of the Music Department and Music Center will present the
third annual Moravian Hymn Sing and Love Feast, featuring hymns and
music from the Moravian tradition. It will be led by Assistant
Professor of Music Scott Hochstetler. An organ prelude by Assistant
Professor of Music Christine Thögersen will begin at 3:45
p.m.
Admission is free. The public is warmly invited.
Goshen College's Administration Building, Church-Chapel, Good Library, Music Center, Newcomer Center, Union Gymnasium and Umble Center are accessible to people using wheelchairs and others with physical limitations.
